As an EC&I Specialist within our Maintenance & Reliability team youll provide expertise in calibration automation and fault diagnosis while supporting exciting site expansion projects and new technology implementation. This is an excellent opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment while contributing to plant reliability continuous improvement and the safe efficient operation of a growing manufacturing site. This is a 4 on/off shift pattern 2 days and 2 nights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and deliver the site calibration programme ensuring instrumentation remains accurate compliant and audit-ready.
- Act as the EC&I technical expert on shift supporting complex electrical instrumentation automation and control system issues.
- Diagnose and resolve faults using PLC SCADA and process control systems to minimise downtime and maximise equipment availability.
- Troubleshoot repair and optimise electrical and control systems to support reliable plant performance.
- Support the commissioning qualification and handover of new equipment and capital projects.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to drive continuous improvement and share technical expertise across the maintenance function.
Knowledge skills & experience:
- Time-served apprenticeship in Electrical Control or Instrumentation Engineering.
- Experience working as an EC&I Technician within a regulated manufacturing environment such as pharmaceutical life sciences or FMCG.
- Strong PLC fault-finding and control system diagnostic skills.
- Experience with instrumentation calibration and maintenance best practices.
- A proactive problem solver with a strong commitment to safety quality and continuous improvement.
