We are seeking a passionate and caring Early Years Practitioner to join our dedicated team at Kingsway Childrens this rewarding role you will support the day-to-day operation of the setting ensuring a safe nurturing and stimulating environment for children.
You will play a vital role in supporting childrens development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) building strong relationships with children and families and contributing to high-quality childcare provision. Actual Salary: 12636.28 per annum
Working Pattern:18.5 hours per week / Monday Tuesday 7.5 hours and Wednesday 3.5 hourswith various shifts scheduled between 7:45am and 5:15pm.
Key Responsibilities
Create and maintain a safe secure and welcoming environment for children at all times
Support childrens learning and development through engaging and stimulating activities aligned with EYFS
Act as a key person planning and delivering age-appropriate activities and monitoring childrens progress
Build positive relationships with children parents and external professionals to support individual needs
Carry out observations and maintain accurate developmental records in line with EYFS requirements
Promote positive behaviour and support childrens emotional wellbeing
Follow safeguarding procedures and ensure compliance with policies and Ofsted standards
Assist with daily routines including meals hygiene and general care of children
Ensure play areas and equipment are safe clean and fit for purpose
Essential Criteria
Level 2 qualification in Childcare (or working towards)
Recent experience in a nursery or similar early years setting
Knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
Awareness of safeguarding and child protection practices
Good communication skills both written and verbal
