It takes a huge amount of heart to work in early years. You are part storyteller part peacekeeper and a huge source of comfort for children getting used to being away from home. We need genuinely warm enthusiastic people who dont mind a bit of mess who love cheering on a baby taking their first wobbly steps and who know exactly how to turn a grumpy morning drop-off into a great day.

Right now we are supporting a wonderful mix of caring community-focused nurseries dotted across Islington and the N1 area. They are looking for nurturing Early Years Practitioners and Assistants to step in and become a friendly reliable face for the children on a flexible supply basis.

You bring your nurturing spirit to the nursery floor and we will build a working rota that entirely respects your downtime and personal commitments.

We are actively hiring approachable hands-on staff who naturally connect with early years children. We have opportunities for:

1. Qualified Practitioners (Level 2 & Level 3):

• You hold a "Full and Relevant" Early Years qualification (such as an NNEB CACHE NVQ or Level 3 Early Years Educator).
  

• (Quick reminder: Health & Social Care or Teaching Assistant qualifications do not meet the legal nursery ratios for these specific roles).
  

2. Experienced Unqualified Staff:

• You may not hold a formal early years certificate but you have wonderful recent experience working in a nursery setting. You know how to comfort engage and safely supervise young children and you genuinely love doing it.
  

What you must bring to the room:

• The Right Nature: A deeply nurturing personality excellent reliability and the enthusiasm to get involved in play storytelling and daily care routines.
  

• First Aid Readiness: A Full Paediatric First Aid (PFA) certificate is fantastic. If you dont currently hold one you simply need to be willing to complete the training to ensure our settings remain incredibly safe.
  

• Reliable Weekly Wages: Your dedication is truly appreciated here. Earn a competitive 12.75 to 14.50 an hour which we pay directly into your account every Friday without fail.
  

• Work Locally in N1: Long commutes drain your energy before the day even begins. We will match you with welcoming nursery environments right here in Islington and the surrounding neighborhoods.
