Penbridge School is seeking to appoint a newly qualified Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join our team on a fixed term basis as maternity cover. We are looking for someone who has the drive skills and passion to work at our primary academy based in Portsmouth.

As a member of our teaching team you will benefit from our commitment to developing practitioners with unrivalled opportunities for progression. With the support of an experienced mentor during your ECT induction we will provide a nurturing environment in which to advance your teaching and expertise.
*Fixed Term until 31/08/2027*

We are looking for a Teacher who will:

  • Possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Demonstrate a deep passion for primary education
  • Exhibit outstanding classroom practice fostering high standards of achievement and behaviour.
  • Design and deliver a creative engaging and stimulating curriculum.
  • Be committed to continuous improvement both for pupils and through personal CPD opportunities.
  • Bring a positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills to our school community.
  • Actively contribute to the positive ethos and development of Penbridge School

About Us
Formally known as Penhale Infant School and Newbridge Junior School we officially joined together in September 2022 to form Penbridge Infants and Junior School. The infants site comprises of a nursery with 24 places for funded 2-4 year olds and a 2-form entry infant school with 180 children on the roll including 24 in our Rainbow Fish Inclusion Unit. The juniors site comprises of a 4-form entry school with 440 children on the roll.
