Role description:
As a Due Diligence Manager within the Land & Property team you will lead and coordinate all land property legal planning environmental and commercial due diligence activities required to support investment decisions funding processes acquisitions disposals and strategic property initiatives.
You will act as the focal point for investors funding partners internal stakeholders and external advisors ensuring that due diligence investigations are completed efficiently risks are identified and mitigated and decision-makers are provided with clear and accurate information to support investment and business decisions.
Role Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage property and land due diligence workstreams across acquisitions disposals refinancing activities and strategic estate projects.
- Coordinate legal planning valuation environmental technical and commercial due diligence reviews.
- Establish and manage due diligence programmes ensuring all workstreams are completed within agreed timelines.
- Identify assess and document key risks liabilities opportunities and constraints relating to property and land assets.
- Maintain and oversee due diligence trackers risk registers and action plans.
- Act as the primary point of contact for investors lenders and funding stakeholders regarding property due diligence matters.
- Coordinate responses to investor enquiries and requests for information.
- Prepare and present due diligence findings risk summaries and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Support funding applications business cases and investment approvals through the provision of robust due diligence information.
- Establish and manage virtual data rooms and document repositories.
- Ensure property documentation contracts title information surveys valuations and approvals are complete and readily accessible.
- Coordinate the collection validation and review of due diligence materials from internal teams and external advisors.
- Ensure information provided to investors and stakeholders is accurate consistent and governance compliant.
- Review due diligence findings and ensure identified risks are appropriately escalated and managed.
- Monitor compliance with governance requirements regulatory obligations and internal procedures.
- Develop and maintain due diligence processes templates and reporting standards.
- Support continuous improvement of due diligence governance and assurance frameworks.
- Manage relationships with legal advisors surveyors planners valuers environmental consultants and other specialist providers.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive due diligence assessments.
- Build strong relationships across finance commercial legal estates and operational teams.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Significant experience in property real estate infrastructure or land-related due diligence.
- Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary due diligence programmes.
- Strong understanding of property transactions land rights contracts and commercial risk.
- Experience supporting investment acquisition disposal or funding processes.
- Ability to analyse complex information and present clear recommendations to senior stakeholders.
- Proven stakeholder management experience across internal and external parties.
- Experience within infrastructure utilities regeneration or estate management sectors.
- Knowledge of investment appraisals private funding structures and transaction processes.
- Familiarity with property planning legal and environmental risk assessment.
- Strong analytical and risk assessment skills.
- Excellent report writing and presentation capabilities.
- Ability to interrogate large volumes of property and transactional information.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- MRICS MRTPI APM PRINCE2 or similar professional qualification.
- Experience with data room management and transaction support.
- Knowledge of governance compliance and assurance frameworks.
