If you love working with timber metals plastics and cutting-edge tech like 3D printers and CAD/CAM equipment this is the perfect role to inspire the next generation of designers and engineers!

The Role

Working closely with expert teaching staff you will be the engine room of the workshop ensuring students can bring their boldest creative ideas to life safely and effectively.

  • Workshop Preparation: Prep timber metals plastics and raw materials using bandsaws pillar drills lathes and hand tools for practical lessons.

  • Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspect clean calibrate and service workshop machinery and hand tools to stringent safety standards.

  • Classroom Support: Guide students during lessons on the safe and effective use of heavy machinery CAD/CAM and 3D printing equipment.

  • Health & Safety: Maintain a spotless hazard-free workshop environment manage COSHH logs and enforce strict PPE and safety protocols.

  • Resource Management: Monitor stock levels manage tool inventories and coordinate equipment ordering within the department.
