A Good Secondary School in Telford is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and creative Design & Technology Teacher to join its successful DT department from September. The successful candidate will teach Design & Technology across Key Stage 3 Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 delivering high-quality practical and theory lessons that encourage creativity technical understanding and problem-solving.

Students follow a broad curriculum that includes Product Design Resistant Materials Engineering Graphics and the use of CAD/CAM technologies where appropriate. You will inspire learners to design create evaluate and refine products while developing valuable practical skills and an understanding of modern manufacturing techniques.

Essential Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Experience teaching Design & Technology at secondary level

• Ability to teach KS3 and KS4 confidently

• Strong practical and theoretical subject knowledge

• Excellent classroom management and communication skills

Desirable

• Ability to teach a DT specialism at KS5

• Experience using CAD/CAM technologies and modern workshop equipment

• Commitment to STEM enrichment and extracurricular activities

• A passion for inspiring young people through practical learning
