An Ambitious Secondary School in Bedford is seeking to appoint a creative and enthusiastic Design & Technology Teacher to join its successful DT department from September. The successful candidate will teach Design & Technology across Key Stage 3 Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 delivering engaging practical and theoretical lessons that encourage creativity problem-solving and technical understanding.
The department benefits from well-equipped workshops and specialist resources allowing students to develop skills across a range of disciplines including Product Design Resistant Materials Engineering Graphics and CAD/CAM technologies where appropriate. You will encourage students to think innovatively while developing confidence in designing making and evaluating products.

Teach Design & Technology across KS3 KS4 and KS5
Deliver engaging practical and theory-based lessons
Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations
Promote safe working practices within specialist workshops
Assess student progress and provide effective feedback
Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development
Support STEM and Design & Technology enrichment activities
Inspire creativity innovation and technical excellence

Essential Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching Design & Technology at secondary level
Ability to teach KS3 and KS4 confidently
Strong practical and theoretical subject knowledge
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
Desirable
Ability to teach a DT specialism at KS5
Experience with CAD/CAM technologies or engineering pathways
Commitment to STEM enrichment and extracurricular activities
A proven track record of delivering excellent student outcomes
