We work with a variety of secondary schools across Dudley including Good Outstanding Independent and Faith schools. This provides teachers with the opportunity to work in different educational environments while choosing assignments that fit around their availability and professional preferences.

As a Design & Technology Supply Teacher you will deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4 with opportunities to teach KS5 where appropriate. You may be asked to cover a range of DT specialisms including Product Design Resistant Materials Engineering Graphics and Food Technology depending on your experience.

Many assignments will involve following existing lesson plans and resources allowing you to focus on effective classroom delivery and maintaining a positive learning environment.

You will be expected to uphold the schools behaviour and safeguarding expectations while ensuring practical activities are conducted safely and effectively.

• Teach Design & Technology across KS3 and KS4

• Deliver KS5 lessons where appropriate to your experience

• Follow lesson plans and departmental schemes of work

• Deliver practical and theory-based DT lessons

• Maintain excellent classroom management

• Ensure safe working practices in workshops and specialist classrooms

• Support pupils with practical projects and coursework

• Assess and monitor student progress where required

• Follow individual school policies and safeguarding procedures

• Provide appropriate feedback to permanent teaching staff

Daily supply teaching offers an excellent opportunity for DT Teachers who want greater flexibility over their working schedule.

You can choose the days you are available and gain experience across different secondary schools in Dudley. For teachers considering a permanent move supply work can also provide the opportunity to experience different schools before committing to a longer-term position.

Depending on your experience you may work within specialist workshops design studios food technology rooms or classrooms equipped with modern CAD/CAM resources.

We are looking for Design & Technology Teachers who are:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Experienced teaching DT at secondary level

• Confident teaching KS3 and KS4

• Able to deliver engaging practical and theoretical lessons

• Familiar with workshop and classroom health and safety

• Reliable punctual and professional

• Adaptable and comfortable working across different schools

• Passionate about developing students practical and creative skills
