DT Manufacturing Lead
Job Summary
The incumbent will bridge the gap between heavy industrial manufacturing and cutting-edge technology (AI Robotics IIoT) ensuring that Stafford provides the robust digital foundation required to launch the most advanced transformer factory in the world.
Key Responsibilities
1. Stafford Site Transformation (The Foundation)
- Systems Adoption:Lead the revitalization of SAP (ERP) and Hermes (MES). Eliminate manual shadow processes and ensure these systems are the single source of truth for production quality and logistics.
- Digital Lean Deployment:Implement standardized digital tools including Lean Operating Systems (LOS) eAndon for real-time issue escalation and digital performance management dashboards.
- Operational Technology (OT) Modernization:Audit and upgrade the shop floors digital infrastructure to support high-speed connectivity and edge computing.
- Predictive Maintenance (PdM):Scale existing sensor-based asset monitoring (Prolec-style) across all critical machinery to shift from reactive to proactive maintenance.
2. Hai Phong Site Architecture (The Vision)
- Industry 5.0 Implementation:Design the digital blueprint for the new Vietnam facility focusing on hyper-connectivity AI-driven quality inspection and human-robot collaboration (Cobots/AGVs).
- Greenfield Integration:Ensure the Hai Phong site is Born Digital with 100% machine connectivity and automated data capture from day one.
- Digital Twin Development:Oversee the creation and utilization of a Digital Twin for the Hai Phong facility to optimize workflows and simulate production changes before they occur.
- GEV Bestpractises usage : Leverage experience from other businesses and apply all GEV standards related to IT/OT/Industrial AI.
3. Strategic Leadership & Governance
- Global Roadmap:Define the 35 year Digital Manufacturing roadmap that aligns both sites ensuring that innovations in Stafford are scalable to Vietnam.
- Data Governance:Establish standardized data structures and KPIs so that operational performance is comparable and transparent across both geographies.
- Stakeholder Management:Act as the primary liaison between Manufacturing IT and Senior Leadership to secure investment and report on ROI for DT initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education:Bachelors or masters degree in engineering Computer Science or Management Information Systems.
- Experience:10 years in Manufacturing Operations or Digital Transformation preferably within heavy industry (Transformers Aerospace or Automotive).
- Systems Expertise:Deep functional knowledge ofSAP/MES Digital Twin etc.
- Tech Savvy:Proven experience with IIoT platforms Robotics/Automation and Data Analytics/AI applications in a factory setting.
- Change Management:Demonstrated ability to lead cultural shifts in conventional manufacturing environments successfully driving the adoption of new technologies.
- Language:Fluency in English is required; experience working with Southeast Asian manufacturing teams is a plus.
