Document Production Specialist
Job Summary
Shepherd and Wedderburn are currently recruiting for a Document Production Specialist to join their team based in Edinburgh. The successful candidate will demonstrate advanced proficiency across the Microsoft Office suite with a particular focus on producing and formatting complex Word documents to a consistently high standard.
Main Duties

- Apply proactive technical problem-solving skills to identify issues recommend solutions and support continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with colleagues at all levels across the firm.
- Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills adapting communication style to suit a range of audiences and situations.
- Support and contribute to departmental and firm-wide projects providing technical expertise and assistance as required.
- Demonstrate the ability to quickly learn and confidently utilise new technologies systems and processes.
- Adopt a flexible and adaptable approach to work responding effectively to changing business priorities and operational requirements.
- Possess strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Share knowledge best practice and technical expertise with colleagues including PAs and members of the Training Team to support continuous development.
- Produce high-quality documentation from digital dictation and other transcription platforms ensuring accuracy professionalism and adherence to firm standards.
- Assist with the development maintenance testing and continuous enhancement of the firms Microsoft Word house style templates and document automation solutions.
Candidate Profile/Technical Skills
- Strong advanced Microsoft technical skills in particular Word
- Strong organisational skills
- Strong problems solving skills
- Previous experience in document production role and/or other technical document focused role
- Excellent attention to detail
Business/Work Management
- Works as part of a team and with the PA Co-ordinator to attain objectives within agreed timescales.
- Keeps all clients and colleagues up-to-date with latest developments.
- Complies with all firm policies and procedures.
