Job Summary

Are you curious detail-oriented and passionate about solving problems We are looking for a Discovery Technician to join Cappagh Browne Utilities specialist Survey & Discovery team helping to improve the performance of the wastewater network while contributing to environmental improvements across the region.

As a Discovery Technician you will play a key role in investigating drainage systems and wastewater assets gathering evidence identifying defects and uncovering opportunities for future rehabilitation and capital delivery projects. Working across the wastewater network you will carry out structured investigations including visual flow monitoring drainage surveys CCTV inspections network mapping and flood investigations. Your findings will directly support initiatives that reduce environmental impact improve network resilience and enhance the service delivered to customers and communities. What Were Looking For

Were looking for someone with a proactive attitude strong attention to detail and a genuine interest in drainage wastewater utilities or infrastructure operations.

Essential:

  • Experience in drainage wastewater utilities construction or a similar operational environment.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Comfortable using digital devices and recording systems or willing to learn.
  • A strong focus on safety quality and delivering accurate work.

Desirable:

  • Experience undertaking CCTV drainage investigations.
  • WJA Jetting qualification.
  • Confined Space training.
  • CSCS Card.
  • HSG47 Awareness.
  • Towing entitlement (BE).
