The Chief Information & Resiliency Officer area is looking for a Disaster Recovery Analyst based out of Unity Place Milton Keynes.
Our Technology & Operations function provides the foundations upon which our business operates.
From our apps online banking sites branch systems and so on we make sure our customers can bank with us 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
We have an exciting opportunity to join the bank as a Disaster Recovery Analyst. The DR Analyst will support a Senior DR Analyst to drive the vision direction and align Santander UKs Disaster Recovery strategy and will ensure we continue to service our customers in the event of the unexpected. You will support the delivery of the DR strategy and improvements to the DR testing. This will encompass both On and Off premise infrastructure and the corresponding Business Services.
Here youll leverage traditional best practices to optimise agility as part of Digital Transformation journeys within the organisation supporting the delivery of effective service management through the definition and adoption of a governance practice that uses KPIs and metrics to track and measure the quality of service.

- Supporting and delivering the overall DR strategy of multiple functional areas across Infrastructure and the CIO application teams.
- Identifying opportunities for automation cost savings and service quality improvement.
- Supporting operations to support existing infrastructure applications and development of new solutions and tools to meet the requirements of the Disaster Recovery Agenda.
- Assisting and supporting in delivering the DR Strategy.
- Supporting the development of enterprise technology standards governance processes and performance metrics to ensure that we meet our KPIs and add value to the enterprise
- Delivering DR testing for both on-prem and cloud-based services
- AWS infrastructure knowledge including Resilience Hub and FIS
- Strong documentation skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Experience with ServiceNow and using AI tools to improve efficiency and automation

Professional Experience:
- Accountable for Resilience and Disaster Recovery testing (Required)
- Embed resilience and recovery testing at the heart of what we build and maintain (Required)
- Be a technology interface to BU stakeholders to ensure we have fit for purpose E2E recovery plans through testing (Required)
- Build and maintain effective repeatable plans and processes for On/Off Premise technology (Required)
- Supporting the delivery of DR plans and ensure we are within metrics governance of Santander (Required)
Languages:
- Spanish (Preferred)
Hard Skills:
- Can demonstrate a technical background or understanding of OS and Database Technologies (Preferred)
- An understanding of Disaster Recovery and resiliency techniques (Preferred)
Soft Skills:
- Have an understanding of risk management framework (Preferred)
- Have an understanding of the Regulators Operational Resilience framework including the Important Business Services delivery (Preferred)
- Have worked in a service focused company (Preferred)

Salary Range:
- 44496.00 - 66744.00 per annum (depending on experience)
- This salary range represents the expected remuneration for the role. Annual salary is based on a standard 35-hour working week. Actual salary offered will depend on skills experience qualifications and location.
- 500annual cash allowance to spend on our great range of benefits.
- 27 days holiday plus bank holidays which increases to 28 days after 5yrs service with the option to purchase up to 5 contractual days per year.
