Job Summary
| This role leads the delivery of the Armys Race Action Plan (RAP) v2 turning intent into measurable action. It strengthens Army culture education and leadership behaviours in line with Values and Standards. The post builds trust and understanding with underrepresented communities through strategic partnerships and doing so it reinforces the Armys credibility as a modern inclusive national institution. Responsibilities: Strategic leadership - Sets and drives RAP v2 direction aligned to Army priorities and national reform. Assists lead cultural change across the Army making inclusion a core leadership responsibility. Governance & accountability - Establishes and leads robust governance chairs senior oversight forums and ensures clear ownership of actions and enforces accountability at every level. Delivery & oversight - Maintains firm oversight of delivery across all workstreams tracking progress against milestones and outcomes. Intervenes and advises the CoC on action to take where performance falls short to ensure delivery remains on track and effective. Performance & reporting - Ensures rigorous and transparent reporting on progress providing regular updates to senior leadership. Uses data to assess impact drive accountability and maintain confidence in delivery. Stakeholder engagement - Engages senior leaders networks and external partners to build trust and drive collective ownership. Acts as a visible advocate ensuring lived experience informs decision-making. Policy & systems - Drives reform of policies and systems to remove structural barriers and improve equity. Influences key decision points to ensure fair and consistent outcomes across the Army. Foster a state of partnership as a lighthouse organisation collaborating nationally to tackle systemic challenges strengthen cohesion and shape a long term UK vision. Delivers measurable improvements in representation retention and inclusion alongside scaled impact from Project ANTHONY. Enhances youth engagement supporting the 30 by 30 ambition and promoting leadership STEM and social mobility with success evidenced through reduced disparities and strengthened trust with society. |
