Digital Systems Officer

We are working closely with a local authority in Carmarthenshireto assist with the appointment of a Digital SystemsOfficer on a 3-months contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 16.12- 21.10 per hour

Summary:

The Digital Systems Officer plays a key role in supporting developing and maintaining the Councils business-critical digital systems. The post holder will ensure that operational systems remain reliable efficient and compliant with statutory requirements while supporting digital transformation initiatives across the organisation.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure data updates are completed in accordance with corporate period-end and year-end timetables with minimal disruption to users.
• Undertake investigations feasibility studies systems analysis design activities programming testing and installations across a range of technologies.
• Assist in the specification evaluation and implementation of new systems and software solutions.
• Ensure compliance with statutory legislative regulatory and organisational requirements.
• Travel to various Council depots and offices throughout Carmarthenshire to provide on-site support and assistance as required.

Qualifications:

• Higher Diploma in Information Technology or an equivalent qualification in a relevant subject area.

Essentials:

• Proven experience supporting and maintaining IT systems.
• Experience integrating data between multiple back-end systems and databases.
• Experience learning and applying new software and technologies quickly.
• Knowledge of Windows Operating Systems
