Job Summary
Join us as a Digital Skills Volunteer and make a real this rewarding role youll support our staff and volunteers to build confidence using everyday digital tools like Microsoft Teams Word and Excel providing friendly one-to-one guidance and troubleshooting. With flexible 3 to 4 hour shifts full training and expenses covered this is a fantastic opportunity to develop your own skills while empowering others in a supportive hospice environment. If youre patient approachable and passionate about helping people grow their digital confidence wed love to hear from you.
What Youll Be Doing
Youll provide:
- One-to-one support for staff or volunteers helping them build confidence using Office 365 applications.
- In-person guidance and troubleshooting to resolve issues and answer digital skills queries.
- A welcoming and inclusive learning environment where individuals feel comfortable asking questions and developing new skills.
- Collaborative support alongside the Learning & Organisational Development team using digital training to boost creativity and help colleagues work more efficiently and effectively.
Who Were Looking For
Wed love to hear from you if you:
- Demonstrate a good working knowledge of Microsoft Teams Word Excel and other Office applications.
- Communicate clearly and build strong relationships with the ability to explain complex information in a friendly and accessible way.
- Show patience and curiosity when supporting individuals who may be less confident with technology.
- Bring a passion for learning and a genuine desire to help others develop their digital skills.
- Offer experience in teaching coaching or mentoring. This is beneficial but not essential.
Can offer one morning or afternoon per week (a few hours still make a big difference!)

Important Information
Volunteers must be aged 16 or over
- All volunteers are required to complete:
- Volunteer Statutory Training (3 hours)
- Ashgate Hospice Volunteer Induction (3 hours)
- Local role-specific training will be provided
- Confidentiality around patient and hospice information is essential
- This role will require a standardDBS to be completed
