Are you ready to embark on a journey into the future of public transport DigiGo Essexs premier on-demand shared public transport service is on the lookout for enthusiastic and caring individuals to join our team of DigiGo Drivers.

We are recruiting for part time driver roles to enable a significant expansion in the DigiGo service happening in Summer 2026.

• Part-time (PM) - 19.6 hours over 3 days currently 14:40 until 22:10 (subject to change)
• Super part time - 15 hours over 3 evenings only 17:10 until 22:10 (subject to change)

All the above roles operate on a rolling rota including a mixture of weekdays and weekends. The above roles will also receive a 10% flat rate allowance on top of your salary.

We also have the following working pattern available:

• Seasonal as and when - based entirely on available shifts and needs of the service

Successful applicants will be invited to attend an in-person interview at The Plaza Great Notley. Specifics around the working patterns can be discussed further with the interview panel.

What Youll Do

• Fulfil a vital role in high-profile schemes providing a personable dependable and friendly transport service.
• Drive our brand new minibuses contributing to a sustainable future.
• Get to know your passengersfrom students to commuters older individuals and those with disabilities.
• Navigate through diverse landscapes from suburban areas to scenic rural Essex countryside.

What Were Looking For

• Hold a valid driving license with a D1 entitlementessential for the role.
• Experience working with diverse customer backgrounds and needs.
• Adaptable and flexible with a calm and professional approach.
• Ability to work in a timely manner.
• Proficient in using smartphones and/or tablets.
• Ability to follow navigation and other instructions from the digital app.
• Excellent communication and social skills in a customer-based setting.

If successful you will require.

• An enhanced DBS checks.
• To undertake training in the use of a specific digital app that is integral to the service.
• To undertake mandatory training including MiDAS.
• Undertake an Essex County Council Drivers assessment.

Please note that the job role requires you to be mobile throughout an operational area. Therefore the post holder will need to have a driving licence and access to a vehicleor the ability to meet the mobility requirements of the role through other means.
