Based atWallsend youll be part of an enthusiastic multidisciplinary team supporting vulnerable families. Youll bring your expertise toweekly case reviews provide clinical consultation and work directly with families throughhome visits and telehealth.

About you
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Dietitian with expertise in infant and child nutrition growth and development breastfeeding feeding challenges and the introduction of solids.
You will bring a family-centred evidence-based approach with the ability to identify concerns early build strong relationships with families and empower parents and carers to achieve the best possible outcomes for their children.
You will be a compassionate collaborative and innovative clinician who thrives working as part of a multidisciplinary team. The role is well supported by the Child and Family Health leadership Allied Health and Child and Family Health Nursing teams.
Orientation and support will be provided on commencement. All Dietitians are required to maintain mandatory education requirements.
Requirements
Must hold a bachelor or post graduate degree in nutrition and dietetics that provides eligibility for full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer.

Patient-centre care Referral and client care co-ordination Extensive experience and knowledge providing assessment and interventions in paediatric dietetics in infancy and early childhood period for children at risk of or experiencing feeding difficulties or poor nutritional intake. Demonstrated understanding of nutrition in pregnancy.
Demonstrated capacity to provide clinical consultation in partnership with the child and family health nurse and facilitate case review in the context of family centred casework within a community based multidisciplinary team.
Demonstrated ability to provide information advice and education to other professionals including anticipatory guidance treatment intervention and management strategies to facilitate progress and promote optimal nutrition and wellbeing of the child.
