Job Summary
An excellent and well-regarded secondary school in Gloucester is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Design & Technology Teacher to join its successful DT department. The position is available on a full-time permanent basis starting September 2026.

Teaching Design & Technology across KS3 and KS4 with KS5 depending on experience
Planning and delivering engaging well-structured lessons across a range of material specialisms
Supporting practical workshop lessons with a strict focus on health safety and machinery protocols
Assessing pupil progress and providing clear constructive feedback on design portfolios and practical outcomes
Contributing to curriculum planning and departmental development
Working collaboratively within a supportive Design & Technology team
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
A degree in a Design & Technology-related subject
Experience teaching DT at KS3 and KS4
Strong subject knowledge CAD/CAM proficiency and confident workshop practice
High expectations for pupil engagement behaviour and progress
A professional organised and positive teaching approach
