Our client is seeking a dedicated and technically minded Design & Technology Teacher to join their experienced creative faculty from September. This is a full-time permanent position ideal for a hands-on practitioner with a passion for product design material manipulation and computational manufacturing.

The successful candidate will deliver high-quality practical lessons across KS3 and KS4 with the potential to lead KS5 Product Design coursework. Key responsibilities include leading safe machinery sessions keeping detailed digital portfolio logs tracking material inventories and ensuring the absolute safety of all students in compliance with DATA safety guidelines.

The Design & Technology department is highly popular and benefits from a dedicated full-time DT technician laser cutters 3D printing suites and traditional timber and metalwork fabrication benches.

Experience and Qualifications
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification

  • Proven experience teaching DT up to GCSE level (A-Level experience is highly desirable)

  • Up-to-date knowledge of workshop health and safety legislation (DATA certification is advantageous)

  • Strong IT literacy with confidence utilizing CAD/CAM design software
