Design Lead – Sports Infrastructure
Job Summary
- Lead and coordinate technical design for major stadium training ground and Field of Play infrastructure projects across RIBA Stages 07
- Coordinate complex technical interfaces including pitch drainage irrigation water infrastructure undersoil heating ventilation advanced monitoring technologies and M&E connections
- Oversee project delivery within BIM-led environments (Common Data Environments / federated models) managing project documentation in line with ISO 19650 standards including MIDPs (Master Information Delivery Plans) and TIDPs (Task Information Delivery Plans)
- Act as the primary technical design lead representing the firm in design reviews with clients architects structural/civil engineers MEP consultants and main contractors
- Prepare and review drawings BIM models technical details performance specifications BoQs (Bills of Quantities) basis of design documents end-of-stage reports and contractor RFI responses
- Proven experience in an engineering design consultancy environment (Civil Engineering Mechanical Engineering MEP/Building Services Drainage Water or Infrastructure)
- Practical familiarity with AutoCAD and/or Revit is essential
- Hands-on experience working within BIM environments
- Degree HNC/HND or equivalent practical experience in Civil Mechanical Building Services or Infrastructure Engineering
- Exposure to Civil 3D or Navisworks is highly advantageous
- Professional accreditation or progress towards Chartered/Incorporated Engineer (CEng / IEng) status is advantageous but not essential
- Full training will be provided in pitch drainage undersoil heating irrigation hybrid turf systems and international governing body standards (e.g. FIFA UEFA World Athletics)
Required Skills:
