This vibrant forward-thinking nursery is looking for a dedicated Deputy Room Leader to become a key part of their team. Combining the EYFS with the child-led philosophies of Montessori and Reggio Emilia the setting encourages curiosity independence and creativity in every child.
Each room has been thoughtfully designed to reflect the needs of its age group creating calm engaging spaces where children feel confident to explore and develop at their own pace. The experience extends outdoors too with a beautiful garden that invites children to discover imagine and learn through nature every single day.
This role is perfect for a confident Senior Nursery Practitioner or an ambitious Level 3 Practitioner ready to step up. Youll work closely with the Room Leader playing a vital role in shaping inspiring learning experiences while supporting and guiding your team to deliver the very best care and education.
What Were Looking For
Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification
Previous experience working within a nursery or early years setting
Experience supporting or mentoring colleagues is desirable
Good understanding of the EYFS framework
Knowledge of Montessori and Reggio Emilia approaches would be advantageous
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
A warm caring and child-centred approach to childcare

Key Responsibilities
Support the Room Leader with the day-to-day running of the room
Deliver high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS framework
Help plan and deliver engaging play-based learning experiences that inspire curiosity and independence
Support childrens emotional social physical and cognitive development
Assist with mentoring and supporting practitioners within the room
Make full use of the nurserys inspiring indoor environments and beautiful outdoor garden
Observe assess and monitor childrens progress
Build positive relationships with children families and colleagues
Maintain safeguarding health & safety and nursery standards at all times
Step into the Room Leaders responsibilities when required
