Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Nursery Manager to join their Good Ofsted-rated nursery. This is an exciting opportunity to support the Nursery Manager in leading a high-quality setting where children are encouraged to explore discover and develop through child-led learning and meaningful play experiences.
The nursery offers spacious thoughtfully designed indoor and outdoor environments that encourage curiosity and independence. With free-flow access throughout the day children enjoy the freedom to move between calm welcoming rooms and a large outdoor area complete with a mud kitchen and plenty of space for exploration and adventure.
Working closely with the Nursery Manager youll help lead the team maintain exceptional standards of care and education and play a key role in ensuring every child receives the very best start in life.
What Were Looking For
- Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification
- Previous experience as a Third in Charge Deputy Nursery Manager or a senior leadership role within a nursery
- Strong understanding of the EYFS framework
- Excellent knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
- Experience supporting mentoring and developing early years teams
- Strong leadership organisational and communication skills
- A warm caring and child-centred approach to childcare

Key Responsibilities
- Support the Nursery Manager with the day-to-day leadership and operation of the nursery
- Lead motivate and develop the nursery team to deliver outstanding early years practice
- Ensure high standards of care education safeguarding and regulatory compliance are maintained
- Support staff through coaching supervision and professional development
- Promote engaging indoor and outdoor learning experiences that inspire childrens curiosity and independence
- Monitor childrens progress and support high-quality teaching and learning across the nursery
- Build strong partnerships with children families and external professionals
- Deputise for the Nursery Manager in their absence
