- Lead nursery operations by ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the setting and maintaining high standards of care education and compliance.
- Manage and develop staff through supervision appraisals coaching training induction and professional development opportunities.
- Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) overseeing safeguarding practices referrals staff training and child protection procedures.
- Maintain health and safety compliance including risk assessments fire drills medication administration security and adherence to Health & Safety and COSHH regulations.
- Build strong relationships with families working in partnership with parents to support childrens individual needs and provide exceptional customer service.
- Ensure EYFS and Ofsted compliance by implementing policies maintaining accurate records monitoring quality and leading inspection readiness.
- Drive high-quality teaching and learning by supporting curriculum delivery monitoring observations and learning journeys and promoting best practice in early years education.
- Oversee staffing and resource management ensuring appropriate ratios effective delegation accurate record-keeping and efficient use of resources.
- Support nursery growth and occupancy through parent tours events collaboration with admissions teams and maintaining excellent parent experiences.
- Promote a positive inclusive culture by leading by example encouraging teamwork championing equality and diversity and supporting continuous improvement across the nursery.
