Are you an experienced Deputy Manager or Senior Support Worker looking for the next step in your career

My client is seeking a passionate and experienced Deputy Manager to support the opening and development of a new 3-bed childrens home in South Norwood for young people aged 818 with learning disabilities and additional needs.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone ambitious child-focused and looking to progress towards a Registered Manager position within a supportive and growing organisation.

About the Role

As Deputy Manager you will work closely with the Registered Manager and a Responsible Individual to help lead the home support the staff team and ensure outstanding care is delivered to children and young people.

You will play a key role in:

  • Supporting the day-to-day running of the home
  • Leading and motivating staff teams
  • Promoting safeguarding and positive outcomes for young people
  • Supporting care planning and risk management
  • Ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations and quality standards
  • Helping develop a nurturing safe and therapeutic environment
  • Assisting with staff supervision training and development
  • Preparing for and supporting Ofsted inspections
What Were Looking For

We are looking for candidates who have:

  • At least 2 years experience within a childrens residential setting
  • Experience in a Senior or Deputy role
  • Knowledge of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding procedures
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • A passion for supporting children with learning disabilities and additional needs
  • Level 3 or Level 5 qualification in Health & Social Care (or working towards)
  • A desire to progress into a Registered Manager role
