Deputy Manager
Job Summary
- Weekend Enhancement: 10% additional payment
- On-Call Payment: 36.89
- Sleep-In Payment: 43.12
- Assist in managing the daily operations of the home.
- Act as the Registered Managers deputy when necessary.
- Oversee staff schedules and resource allocation.
- Provide supervision coaching and development for care staff.
- Lead shifts and ensure smooth operational management.
- Conduct quality assurance activities and audits.
- Review case files care records and regulatory documents.
- Prepare and verify reports and assessments.
- Participate in and lead professional meetings as needed.
- Support children and young people in achieving positive outcomes.
- Foster positive relationships with children families and professionals.
- Collaborate effectively with Social Workers Education CAMHS Police Health Services Ofsted and partner agencies.
- Assist in preparing for Ofsted inspections and ensure ongoing compliance with the Childrens Homes Regulations 2015.
- Promote safeguarding and prioritize childrens welfare in practice.
- Implement Care Plans Placement Plans PEPs and Pathway Plans.
- Shift work
- Weekend duties (approximately one weekend per month)

- Minimum Level 3 Diploma/NVQ in Residential Childcare
- Extensive experience in Childrens Residential Care
- At least 2 years of experience in a Childrens Residential Setting
- Experience in supervising or managing staff in a residential childcare environment
- Strong understanding of:
- Childrens Homes Regulations 2015
- The Children Act
- Safeguarding procedures
- Residential childcare practice
- Childrens Homes Regulations 2015
- Experience in audits quality assurance and report writing
- Strong leadership organizational and communication skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with children young people staff and partner agencies
- Capability to guide teams through challenging situations and manage complex behaviors
- Decision-making skills in high-pressure environments
- Enhanced DBS with Barred List Check
- Schedule 2 Check
- Previous experience as a Deputy Manager
- Experience with Ofsted inspections
- Budget management experience
- Full UK Driving Licence (advantageous but not mandatory)
- 27.79 per hour (Umbrella)

Required Skills:
