Deputy Manager Children's Home

Location: Wellington Somerset
Salary: 36000 per annum approximately 2 sleep-ins per week
Contract: Permanent Full Time
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of a childrens residential home in Wellington.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the Registered Manager with the effective day-to-day operation of the home.
• Lead shifts and provide management oversight in the Registered Managers absence.
• Support audits quality assurance and Ofsted compliance.
• Work with social workers families schools and other professionals.
• Support admissions placement planning and reviews.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent.
• Significant residential childcare experience.
• Experience supervising mentoring or leading staff.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding and childrens home regulations.
• Understanding of trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches.
• Willingness to complete Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare if not already achieved.
• Full UK driving licence..
• Enhanced DBS and satisfactory references required.
