Job title: HGV Driver Class 2 - Depot: United Springburn - Reporting to: Distribution Manager

Salary: Starting at 14.50per hour Bonus

Who we are:

United Wholesale Grocers Limited have 3 have branches 2 in Glasgow and 1 at Gateshead in the North East of England. We are primarily a Cash & Carry Wholesale business with a wide product portfolio consisting of Beers Wines Spirits Soft Drinks Confectionary Crisps and Snacks Household and Grocery.

Key Tasks / Responsibilities:

Multidrop delivery of customers orders in cages and on pallets in an organised and timely fashion

Loading your lorry according to your daily route while following all CPC regulations

Dealing with Customer queries and payments upon delivery

Taking responsibility for the zone and lorry that you work in; this includes ensuring good housekeeping standards are maintained

Supporting other departments as required

Qualities we look for:

• You must have a good understanding of tachograph rules and regulations.
• Confident using tail lifts
• You will be able to demonstrate excellent customer service
• Candidates must be CPC qualified and must not have more than 6 points on their license to be considered for the role.
• Excellent work ethic is required as well as punctuality and reliability
• Initiative and the capability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Good attention to detail and careful precision to meet target
