Carlsberg Britvic is the largest multi-beverage supplier in the UK and is home to some of the most iconic and popular beers & soft drinks including Carlsberg Danish Pilsner 1664 Poretti and Brooklyn to ale favourites such as Hobgoblin and Wainwright. For soft drinks Carlsberg Britvics brands include J2O Robinsons Tango and London Essence along with the licence rights to the Pepsi portfolio in the UK including Pepsi MAX 7UP Lipton Ice Tea and Rockstar Energy
With a strong national footprint the Carlsberg Britvic business includes 5 production facilities and 15 logistics depots servicing customers up and down the UK. As these two historical businesses have come together the one common goal remains and that is ensuring our people succeed.
Role Purpose
As a DE&I Specialist you will play a key role in delivering our Diversity Equity & Inclusion strategy by providing programme management and operational support across the business.
You will help create a workplace where everyone is valued respected and able to thrive by coordinating DE&I initiatives delivering learning and awareness activities supporting leaders and managers and partnering with our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) to promote meaningful engagement and change.
This role combines stakeholder engagement training facilitation employee network management events coordination and DE&I advisory support making it an exciting opportunity for someone looking to develop their expertise within the DE&I field.
Key Responsibilities
DE&I Programme Delivery
- Support the implementation of the organisations DE&I strategy and develop and maintain project plans activity trackers and stakeholder updates.
- Coordinate specific DE&I projects and initiatives from planning through to delivery and evaluation.
- Coordinate DE&I calendar events and awareness campaigns throughout the year including maintenance of our colleague facing SharePoint.
- Support the development and implementation of DE&I policies toolkits and resources.
Learning Support
- Facilitate sessions on sensitive and thought-provoking topics such as inclusive behaviours allyship and cultural awareness.
- Support the design development and maintenance of learning materials and digital resources.
- Evaluate learning effectiveness through feedback participation data and behavioural indicators.
- Act as an advocate for continuous learning and inclusion across the business.
DE&I Advice and Guidance
- Serve as a trusted point of contact for colleagues seeking advice on DE&I-related matters.
- Provide practical guidance on inclusive practices colleague engagement and workplace inclusion.
- Support managers in understanding DE&I policies resources and processes.
- Signpost colleagues to appropriate support policies and specialist teams where required.
- Keep up to date with DE&I best practice emerging trends and legislative developments.
Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)
- Coordinate the governance of Employee Resource Groups and colleague networks.
- Partner with the DE&I Lead and ERG leaders to develop annual plans aligned to organisational priorities.
- Support the recruitment onboarding and development of ERG committee members.
- Facilitate regular meetings and provide guidance to network leads.
- Manage ERG budgets and annual activity planning.
- Track and report on network engagement impact and outcomes.
Events and Engagement
- Plan and deliver a programme of internal DE&I events campaigns and engagement activities linked to key cultural and inclusion dates.
- Manage event logistics including speakers communications registrations resources and evaluation.
- Create engaging communications that encourage participation and awareness.
Stakeholder Management
- Build relationships with the wider Talent team People & Culture Business Partners Employee Relations and Corporate Affairs.
- Work collaboratively with teams across the organisation to embed inclusive practices.
- Facilitate discussions on sensitive and complex inclusion topics managing differing perspectives and emotional responses while maintaining a respectful constructive and psychologically safe environment.
- Act as an ambassador for DE&I and advocate for positive culture change.
- Work with and engage stakeholders at all levels through clear communication and relationship building.
Data Insights and Reporting
- Analyse DE&I data and engagement metrics to identify trends and opportunities.
- Track participation across DE&I programmes ERGs and learning activities.
- Support colleague listening activities including surveys focus groups and feedback forums.
Experience and Qualifications
Essential
- Experience coordinating projects programmes or initiatives.
- Experience delivering events workshops or training sessions.
- Knowledge of Diversity Equity & Inclusion principles and inclusive workplace practices.
- Good stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Solid organisational and project coordination skills.
- Ability to analyse and present data clearly.
- Effective written communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including PowerPoint Excel and Teams.
Desirable
- Experience working within DE&I HR Learning & Development Employee Engagement or Comms.
- Experience supporting or managing Employee Resource Groups/Colleague Networks.
- Training facilitation or coaching experience.
- Experience working in an FMCG/Manufacturing
- Knowledge of UK equality legislation and workplace inclusion practices.
- Experience creating learning content and engagement campaigns.
