Subject to formal establishment a vacancy will arise for a OR9 to serve as Defence Experiment Wargaming Hub (DEWH) Operations Warrant Officer at Defence Wargaming Hub Southwick Park on FTRS Home Commitment Terms and Conditions of Service (TCoS) with an initial proposed start date of 01 Sep 2026.

Unit Function:

The Integrated Warfare Centre is to optimise the integrated force through concepts and warfare development affording joint commanders operational advantage over adversaries across the continuum of competition.

Position Role:

Defence Experimentation and Wargaming Hub (DEWH) Operations Warrant Officer

Responsibilities:

De facto DEWH 2IC directing the support to COS DEWH and deputising when COS DEWH is absent and undertake general tasks and duties as required by rank and by COS DEWH.

Coordinate the DEWH facility to ensure wargaming activities are delivered per project leader design and in accordance with AH Wargaming direction.

Line manage and mentor DEWH based staff to assure all administrative aspects of DEWH including security clearance processing and staff induction.

Deliver all DEWH security functions including STRAPSO and Unit Security Officer.

Programme all activity undertaken by DEWH (both home and away) and by visitors at DEWH including booking facilities and supporting administration.

Responsible for delivering DEWH business resilience procurement SHEF and risk management.

Be the DEWH focal point for communications media and external engagement.

When required and in addition to all security and administrative actions support wargame activity delivery as a facilitator support manager or data capturer.
