Job Summary

1. To act as the DDST Chief of Staff and deputise for the SoDD in their absence.
2. To represent the DDST on all diving policy related matters with external agencies and authorities
where it has been authorised by SoDD.
3. To be the lead auditor for independent diving assurance of unit level diving safety management systems for complex units such as the DDS.
4. To assist in the preparation organisation and conduct of verification of diving safety governance audits across Defence diving.
5. To influence encourage and enable the development of continual improvement and a strong safety culture across Defence diving.
6. To manage the financial forecasting approvals and accounting of the DDST budget.
7. To cohere pan-Defence organisational learning safety analysis and best practice to prevent unnecessary harm and re-occurrences.
8. To oversee the selection career planning and reporting of all DDST staff including 1 and 2 RO responsibilities for Army RN and Civil Servants
