Staff Nurse (RGN) Day Shifts

22.40 per hour 48 Hours per Week 8:00-8:00

This is an opportunity for an experienced Registered General Nurse (RGN) to join a purpose-built nursing home supporting older adults with nursing dementia palliative and complex care needs. The home combines modern facilities with a warm person-centred approach ensuring residents receive excellent clinical care without losing the comfort and familiarity of home.

Were looking for a nurse who is clinically confident comfortable managing a varied caseload and experienced within a nursing home environment. The position is available for 48 hours per week although 24 hours per week could also be considered for the right candidate.

What Were Looking For

  • Active NMC registration as an RGN is essential.
  • Recent nursing home experience is required.
  • Strong clinical skills and confidence managing a range of nursing needs.
  • Experience supporting older adults with complex health conditions.
  • Ability to recognise changes in residents conditions and make appropriate clinical decisions.
  • Good knowledge of medication management safeguarding and person-centred care.
  • Confidence using electronic care planning and clinical record systems.

Youll also have hands-on experience with:

  • PEG feeding and PEG care
  • Catheter care
  • Wound assessment and wound care
  • Syringe drivers
  • Electronic care planning systems

Your Day-to-Day

  • Provide safe responsive and person-centred nursing care throughout the day.
  • Assess residents clinical needs and respond appropriately to any changes in their health.
  • Administer medication and clinical treatments safely in line with NMC standards.
  • Provide PEG catheter and wound care where required.
  • Support residents receiving palliative and end-of-life care including the appropriate management of syringe drivers.
  • Complete clinical observations and identify signs of deterioration.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date care plans risk assessments and clinical documentation.
  • Use the homes electronic care systems to maintain clear and accurate records.
  • Work closely with GPs families and other healthcare professionals to coordinate residents care.
  • Provide clinical guidance and support to care colleagues.
  • Deliver clear and comprehensive handovers.
  • Ensure residents dignity comfort independence and individual choices remain central to their care.
