A high-performing secondary school in Bury is seeking an experienced Data Manager with previous school experience to take responsibility for the schools data systems and reporting.

Previous experience working within a school is essential. Youll need a good understanding of how school data is collected managed and used with experience supporting assessment reporting and statutory requirements.

The Role

Working closely with senior leaders and teaching staff youll ensure the schools data is accurate accessible and up to date.

  • Managing the schools MIS and pupil records

  • Coordinating assessment and reporting cycles

  • Producing reports and analysis for SLT

  • Supporting pupil progress tracking

  • Managing data collection deadlines

  • Preparing statutory and census returns

  • Supporting examination and curriculum data

  • Identifying and resolving data discrepancies

  • Responding to staff data queries

  • Maintaining strong GDPR and data protection procedures

About You

Previous school-based Data Manager or Data Officer experience is essential.

Youll need strong Excel skills excellent attention to detail and experience using a school MIS such as SIMS Arbor Bromcom or iSAMS.

Experience with assessment data census returns examinations or timetabling would be advantageous.
