Data Collection Technician

• Carry out highway asset data collection surveys identifying recording and updating inventories of street lighting illuminated signs bollards traffic signals and other highway infrastructure.
• Verify existing client asset inventories or create new records capturing asset details locations and component information using handheld data capture and GPS equipment.
• Undertake non-destructive structural testing of lighting columns. Full training will be provided on Kiwas specialist testing equipment.
• Accurately record and upload survey and testing data to client systems.
• Use and maintain equipment and company vehicles with all due care.
• Build positive working relationships through regular communication with clients colleagues and management.
• Represent Kiwa CMT professionally whilst working on customer sites.
• Travel to sites across the UK including overnight stays where required.

• Experience in a similar field-based role such as highway assets utilities or infrastructure.
• Hold a Full UK Valid driving license as you will be using company vehicles to travel to and from client sites.
• Able to manage a varied workload and work independently.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel and stay away from home.
• A proactive approach to health safety and compliance with a clear focus on working safely.
• Good planning and organisational skills to deliver work on time and to a high standard.
• Strong attention to detail with accurate reporting record-keeping and site documentation.

Desirable criteria (training can be provided):

• A recognised professional with experience in Highway Data Collection Surveys.
• G39 Authorisation.
• Valid ECS Card.

• 31992 - 35055 per annum
