Responsibilities

Technical Support

• Responsible for technical specialized repairs on mission- critical datacenter systems requiring sophisticated analytical problem solving techniques to identify cause
  

Reporting

• Reviews specialized contractual reports and activities

Site Maintenance

• Oversees the site maintenance and up keep of Data Center infrastructures according to Equinix global standards

Assess Adherence to Policy

• Ensures all repairs performed on all Data Center infrastructure are according to the manufacturers guidelines and best practices

Complexity & Problem Solving

• Aids in root cause analysis and in repair of specialized failed critical components
• Devises solutions based on limited information and precedent and adapts existing approaches to resolve issues
• Uses evaluation judgment and interpretation to select right course of action. Work is done independently and is reviewed at critical points

Collaboration & Interaction

• Liaises with design stakeholders on design changes
• Enhances relationships and networks with senior internal/external partners who are not familiar with the subject matter often requiring persuasion
• Adapts style to differing audiences and often advises others on difficult matters

Design

• Validates design criteria for new principal power installations (e.g. single power source)
  

Qualifications

Typical Degree & Years of Experience

• Typically requires proven years of related experience with a Bachelors degree; or proven years and a Masters degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience
