Pathways to Recovery are looking for a Criminal Justice Recovery Champion to join our very busy Warrington service. The main purpose of the role is to act in a mentoring capacity to individuals who have come into service through the criminal justice system and in particular those working with Warrington Probation.

Location: Warrington
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week.

Please note: Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles the salary and any associated payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

Responsibilities

About the role:

You will work directly with inidivuals initiating building and establishing recovery capital to support them to move into long term sustained recovery.

This will be achieved by working with service users supporting and delivering one to one interventions including:

  • Supporting service users on leaving prison.
  • Supporting service users to required appointments.
  • Advocating and advising them.
  • Seeking out other support options for service users from the Warrington partnership.
  • Work closely with Warrington probation helping offenders maintain consistency.
  • Safeguard vulnerable adults and children as and when require

About you:

  • Lived experience of drug or/and alcohol misuse
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with good IT skills
  • Be able to build relationships with individuals with multiple needs whilst remaining empathetic and non-judgemental towardService Users
  • Confident in working alone as well as part of a team
  • Can remain calm under pressure
  • Able to travel as required including where public transport is not available
