Credit Risk Analyst

About the role

Our Caerphilly office has an exciting opportunity in our Credit and Collections team for aCredit Risk Analystto join the team. Your primary role as a Credit Risk Analyst will be to help protect DS Smiths investments by minimisingbad debtandassistingthe continued growth of the business.Youllbe responsible forsetting and monitoring customer credit limitsmaintainingcustomer master files and making recommendations to key stakeholders in the wider business.

Other responsibilities will include:

• Analysing financial reports paymenthistoryand sales information to support credit recommendations.

• Working with Credit and Collections team members and Finance colleagues throughout the UK to understand business priorities and challenges.

• Working with credit insurers and other 3rd parties to maximise available financial information allowing us to make more informed commercial decisions.

• Monitoring exposure levels against agreed credit limits and actingin accordance withour credit policy.

• Supporting change in DS Smith encouraging policy and process improvement in areas where weidentifyopportunity.

About you

Minimumrequirements

• Bachelorsdegree in a relevant subject or accountancy qualification

• Experience in a Credit Risk role

• Strong Credit Analysis experience is desirable with the ability to review reports and make recommendations

• Advanced Excel skills

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to various stakeholders

• SAP and ERP (Navision) experience would beadvantageous

• Language capabilitiesadvantageous
