Our client is a respected professional-services firm advising private clients families landowners trustees and charities across legal tax property and succession matters.
The Opportunity
We are supporting our client with the appointment of a Credit Control Administrator to join its Finance team on a full-time 12-month fixed-term basis. Based in Edinburgh the role will initially be office based with longer-term hybrid working potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Credit Control Manager with the timely and effective collection of outstanding fees
- Maintain regular client contact by email telephone and letter in a professional and discreet manner
- Support the resolution of credit control queries raised internally and externally
- Liaise with Partners fee-earners and colleagues across the business to progress outstanding matters
- Prepare entries for fee payments and support accurate cash allocation
- Help ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the credit control function
- Maintain accurate records and follow internal processes to support effective reporting and administration
- Handle confidential client and financial information with care and professionalism
Candidate Profile
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in credit control administration or a similar finance administration role
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling financial information
- Professional and confident communication skills including an excellent telephone manner
- High level of confidentiality and discretion
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships
- Proactive approach with the ability to work on your own initiative
- Strong team player with a collaborative and helpful approach
- Experience using Microsoft Office packages
- Willingness to learn new business systems and platforms with full training provided
