Job Summary

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority inBarnetto assist with the appointment of a CPO Leadon a6.5-months contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Summary:

The London Borough of Barnet is seeking an experienced CPO Lead Interim to provide specialist land and property expertise and strategic support to the Brent Cross Cricklewood Regeneration Programme. The role will provide assurance oversight and coordination across Compulsory Purchase Order (CPO) workstreams including the management and resolution of outstanding compensation claims and potential references to the Upper Tribunal (Lands Chamber).

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate Compulsory Purchase Order (CPO) workstreams within the Brent Cross Cricklewood Regeneration Programme.
  • Manage and coordinate the progression and resolution of outstanding CPO compensation claims working with landowners claimants surveyors legal advisers and other stakeholders.
  • Monitor CPO-related activity deliverables risks dependencies and key milestones to ensure workstreams remain on track.
  • Commission manage and client external consultants and internal Council services to ensure that specialist advice is timely proportionate and aligned with programme requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant professional qualification in Land and Property Estate Management Surveying Valuation Real Estate or a related discipline.
  • Relevant professional qualification or substantial demonstrable experience in compulsory purchase and compensation matters.

Essentials:

  • Significant professional experience in land and property preferably within a local authority public sector organisation major regeneration programme or comparable complex development environment.
  • Extensive experience of Compulsory Purchase Orders (CPOs) and associated compensation matters.
  • Experience of managing or coordinating complex and potentially contentious compensation claims.
