Lift Maltings is seeking a confident enthusiastic and motivated Cover Supervisor to join our dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in maintaining high-quality learning by supervising lessons during teacher absence and helping create a calm positive and purposeful learning environment.
Whether youre an experienced Cover Supervisor Teaching Assistant looking to take the next step or an aspiring teacher seeking valuable classroom experience this role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a supportive and ambitious school.
Working across a range of subjects youll quickly build positive relationships with students ensuring they remain engaged with their learning while maintaining the high expectations and standards that underpin success at Lift Maltings.
In this role you will:
Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects during teacher absence.
Supervise classes ensuring students remain on task complete their work and meet the schools highexpectations for behaviour and conduct.
Support students to access learning including those with SEND adapting your approach where appropriate. Create a calm positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students can succeed.
Provide feedback to teaching staff on student engagement behaviour and lesson outcomes.
Complete attendance registers and maintain accurate records.
Work collaboratively with teaching pastoral and SEND teams to support student wellbeing and achievement.
Undertake wider academy duties including break and lunchtime supervision where required.
