Pay Rate: 95 125 per day (dependent on experience)

A highly regarded secondary school located in the heart of Westminster is seeking a confident adaptable and energetic Cover Supervisor to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced cover supervisor a youth worker or a high-achieving graduate looking to gain valuable classroom experience ahead of pursuing a career in teaching (PGCE / School Direct).

As a Cover Supervisor you will oversee pre-set lessons during teacher absences ensuring students stay on task engaged and working in a safe and supportive learning environment.

• Supervise classes across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 during planned or emergency teacher absences.

• Deliver pre-prepared work and learning materials left by subject teachers.

• Maintain a positive structured classroom environment and manage student behavior in line with school policies.

• Collect completed work at the end of each lesson and pass relevant feedback to department heads.

• Support pupils with questions and encourage positive engagement in learning.

• Perform registration and administrative duties as required.

• Experience: Prior experience working with young people aged 1116 (e.g. Cover Supervisor Teaching Assistant Youth Worker Sports Coach or Tutor).

• Skills: Strong classroom presence excellent communication and confident behavior management skills.

• Education: A university degree is advantageous though relevant experience is equally valued.

• Safeguarding: Must hold a valid enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to process a new one through Wayman Education.

• Competitive Daily Rates: 95 125 per day paid weekly via PAYE.
