Job Summary

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in North Yorkshireto assist with the appointment of a Corporate strategy and performance lead on a 3-month contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 25.62 - 32.48 per hour

Summary:

This role is responsible for leading the Childrens Services Strategy and Performance function ensuring statutory reporting requirements are met performance information is accurate and accessible and services are continuously improved. The postholder will manage a team of performance professionals work closely with senior leaders and provide strategic performance analysis to support decision-making across Childrens Services.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Childrens Services Strategy and Performance Team.
  • Oversee statutory performance reporting and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the flow of performance work prioritising tasks and resources effectively.
  • Provide robust analysis reporting and performance intelligence to senior leaders and stakeholders.
  • Work closely with Heads of Service to ensure timely and accurate information for decision-making.

Qualifications:

  • Degree-level qualification in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Evidence of professional development in strategy performance data analysis or related fields.

Essentials:

  • Significant experience in Childrens Services performance management reporting and statutory returns.
  • Strong knowledge of childrens social care performance frameworks legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience leading and managing performance teams and staff.
  • Excellent data analysis reporting and performance improvement skills.
  • Ability to influence and advise senior leaders and stakeholders.
