Job Summary

Are you a Controls & Design Engineer looking for a role where you can work across design control systems product development and continuous improvement

This could be an excellent opportunity to join an established engineering team in Suffolk working on a varied range of projects where your ideas and technical input can make a real difference.

Youll be involved in a broad range of engineering activities including:

  • Producing CAD drawings schematics and Bills of Materials
  • New product development testing and validation
  • Developing and testing control systems
  • Continuous improvement of existing products
  • Producing technical documentation manuals and work instructions
  • Engineering administration including BOMs and part number creation
  • Providing application support to customers and colleagues
  • Researching new technologies and engineering solutions

There will also be opportunities for UK and international travel to visit customers and attend exhibitions.

Were interested in engineers with a strong technical mindset and a genuine desire to learn and develop. Ideally youll have:

  • A degree/HND/HNC-level background in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering or Product Design - desirable rather than essential
  • CAD experience preferably SolidWorks
  • Experience with electrical and diesel control systems
  • Knowledge of PLCs Codesys and scripting would be highly advantageous
  • Experience with rotating machinery steel fabrication and/or control systems

Most importantly youll be self-motivated inquisitive and practical with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

This is a varied engineering role offering exposure to design controls product development and continuous improvement within a UK engineering team that forms part of a wider global organisation.
