Sound good Were looking for a Control Engineer (Control Room Shift Operator) to join the ICC.

What youll do
In this role you will be responsible for monitoring and responding to telemetry alarms across multiple systems maintaining continuous awareness of asset performance and identifying emerging issues.
You will take appropriate action to manage and escalate operational events supporting incident response through clear communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
Accurate logging of events and actions within ICC systems is essential alongside working collaboratively with the wider shift team to maintain operational resilience. You will be expected to apply standard operating procedures consistently and effectively to ensure safe and efficient operations.
What youll bring
We are looking for a candidate who demonstrates a calm and methodical approach even within a fast-paced environment. You will have strong attention to detail and take accountability for your decisions with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively. A focus on safety risk awareness and operational performance is essential.
Ideally you will have experience working in a control room operational or process-driven environment with the ability to assess information quickly and make sound decisions under pressure. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team are key along with a proactive and disciplined approach to following procedures.
You should also have good IT skills and be comfortable working across multiple systems with the flexibility to work a 24/7 shift pattern.

The not-so-small print
This role will be a Grade 4. If youre new to Scottish Water youll join us on a starting salary of 31640. Performance-driven pay progression would then allow you to move through the range to a maximum of 36460.
