Job Summary

We are working closely with Home Future Limitedto assist with the appointment of a Consultant Social Worker on a 3-months contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 46.00- 60.76 per hour

Summary:

The Consultant Social Worker will play a strategic and practice leadership role in supporting the implementation of Regional Fostering initiatives across partner organisations. The post holder will lead on the development of consistent fostering practice standards regional guidance and standardised learning programmes to strengthen fostering recruitment assessment and approval processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of regional fostering practice guidance to ensure consistency and excellence across services.
  • Design and develop standardised regional training programmes for fostering recruitment assessment and approval processes.
  • Provide expert advice consultation and professional guidance on fostering practice issues.
  • Represent the organisation at regional meetings working groups and professional networks as required.
  • Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and promote the welfare and best interests of children and young people.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Social Work CQSW DipSW or an equivalent recognised Social Work qualification.
  • Registration with Social Care Wales Social Work England or the relevant professional regulatory body.

Essentials:

  • Significant post-qualification experience within Childrens Social Care.
  • Experience of fostering recruitment assessment approval and permanency processes.
  • Previous experience working in a Principal Social Worker role or above.
  • Experience designing and delivering training programmes and workshops.

Please note:

  • You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
  • You should have right to work in U.K
  • This role requires an Enhanced DBS
