You will teach students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 helping them develop both practical computing skills and a clear understanding of the principles behind computer science.
At KS3 you will introduce students to programming computational thinking algorithms networks digital systems and responsible use of technology. At KS4 you will deliver GCSE Computer Science content and support students in developing the programming theoretical and problem-solving skills required for their examinations.
The school is looking for a teacher who can make programming approachable for students while still providing sufficient challenge for those who want to develop their skills further. You will plan practical activities assess student progress and adapt lessons to support different levels of ability.

Computer Science Teacher - Experience and Qualifications
Computer Science or related Degree
QTS or recognised teaching qualification
Secondary Computer Science teaching experience
Ability to teach KS3 and KS4
GCSE Computer Science experience
Strong programming knowledge
Understanding of algorithms and computational thinking
Confident classroom management
Ability to teach technical concepts clearly
Strong planning and assessment skills
Ability to motivate students with different levels of experience
Salary
The salary for this Computer Science Teacher position will be paid to scale on MPS/UPS depending on experience and qualifications.
