Thurston Community Collegeare seeking aproactive Community Use Duty Officer (Sports and Leisure)to join our growing Community Use Team.

On each shift you will act as the first point of contact for our hirers and fitness suite users providing excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere across the college facilities during community use hours.

The role will involve securing the site and ensuring the appropriate Health and Safety regulations are adhered to.

We are looking to recruit to regular hours of: week 1 9 hours and week 2 13.5 hours on a rotating basis (week 1 - one 4.5 hour weekend shift and one 4.5 hour Thursday shift and week 2 one 4.5 hour weekend shift one 4.5 hour Thursday shift plus one 4.5 hours Wednesday shift).

There may also be regular opportunities for additional hours to facilitate holiday cover and Auditorium hires.

The current Sports Education Centre opening hours are: Monday to Thursday: 5.15 pm to 9.45 pm. Saturday: 8.45 am to 1.15 pm. Sunday: 8.45 am to 1.15 pm.

Thurston Community College is a large popular mixed comprehensive school. It comprises two distinct and specialist sites. Our Thurston Campus for students from Year 7 to Year 11 is situated four miles east of Bury St Edmunds. Thurston Sixth is located in the nearby village of Beyton offering a bespoke centre of excellence for students in Year 12 and Year 13.
