Your role and responsibilities
In this role you will work directly with families to support the social emotional physical and intellectual wellbeing of children from pregnancy to age five. Youll play a vital part in delivering the Healthy Child Programme and contributing to the Childrens Centre statutory framework.
On a typical day you might:
- Plan and deliver evidencebased universal and targeted services for children and families
- Complete home visits and group sessions focusing on early intervention and prevention
- Support parents to build strong bonds with their children and develop confidence in their parenting role
- Work closely with partner agencies to safeguard children and contribute to assessments and meetings
- Mentor students and support the development of other practitioners
- Maintain high professional standards in line with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct and clinical governance requirements

About you

We hope youll bring:
- registration as a Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) Registered Nurse
- experience of working directly with children young people and families
- knowledge of safeguarding legislation national guidance and best practice
- confidence working with families experiencing complex needs or early signs of difficulty
- strong communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships
- experience of multiagency working and collaborative practice
- good IT skills and the ability to maintain accurate records
- a reflective approach and commitment to continuous professional development

Suffolks Health (019) and Childrens Centres provide early help services to families from prebirth to young adulthood. We focus on prevention early intervention and reducing inequalities to give children the best possible start.
Our team works collaboratively across communities supporting family resilience promoting wellbeing and ensuring services are accessible and inclusive. Youll be joining a supportive professional team where your contribution truly matters.
