Commissioning Engineer - Enterprise Security Systems

Our client a leading security integrator across London and the South East is seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer to join their growing team. Youll take ownership of technically challenging projects in high-security environments working with enterprise clients to deliver integrated security solutions. Position Overview
Youll play a key role in delivering complex security system commissioning across enterprise and critical infrastructure environments. Your work will directly impact how organisations protect their most sensitive assets and operations. Youll manage the final stages of major projects ensuring systems integrate seamlessly with customer networks perform optimally and meet exacting security standards before handover to clients.
Responsibilities
Commission integrated security systems including enterprise CCTV access control and intruder alarm platforms across high-security environments
Test and optimise security systems to ensure they meet technical specifications and customer requirements
Integrate security platforms with customer networks managing compatibility and performance across complex IT infrastructure
Conduct technical fault-finding and system diagnostics to resolve issues before project completion
Deliver client-facing commissioning support including system handover training and technical guidance
Support project delivery teams through final commissioning stages ensuring projects close on schedule
Document commissioning activities and maintain detailed technical records for audit and compliance purposes
Requirements
Proven experience commissioning installing or supporting integrated security systems
Strong understanding of IP-based CCTV and access control systems
Solid networking knowledge including TCP/IP switching routing and network infrastructure
Ability to integrate security systems onto customer networks securely and effectively
Excellent customer-facing communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts clearly
Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable: experience with LenelS2 Genetec Gallagher C Cure Milestone Avigilon or Axis systems (training provided for engineers with strong technical foundations)
