Your role and responsibilities

As a Commissioning and Contract Support Officer within the Care Market Hub you will play a key role in supporting the work of the Commissioning and Contract Management Team. From setting up new care providers on our systems to coordinating information and supporting colleagues across Adult Social Care youll help ensure services run smoothly and efficiently.

Working closely with a range of teams this role offers an excellent opportunity to develop a broad understanding of Adult Social Care and commissioning. Youll be responsible for maintaining accurate records managing and sharing information monitoring inboxes and work queues and responding to queries from providers social workers and contract management colleagues. Your work will help ensure that requests are progressed promptly and stakeholders receive the support they need.

You will need

• Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
• A proactive and positive approach to problem-solving.
• Confidence communicating effectively by email and telephone.
• The ability to follow established processes while identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Good IT skills including experience using Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel.
• A willingness to learn develop new skills and adapt to changing priorities. Previous experience in an office or social care environment is beneficial but not essential.
• A commitment to our WeASPIRE values and a genuine desire to make a positive difference for people supported by Adult Social Care.

The team

The Care Market Hub is a small but highly impactful team consisting of a Team Manager two Commissioning and Contract Officers and one Commissioning and Contract Support Officer. As part of the Strategic Commissioning and Contract Management Service we work closely with colleagues across Adult Social Care and the wider care market to support the delivery of high-quality services.

We work collaboratively and support one another to achieve our goals. The team is office-based at least two days per week typically every Monday and then alternating Tuesdays and Wednesdays with flexibility to work from home on other days.
